The 46th Annual Vancouver Kendo Tournament (April 23, 2011)

Vancouver Kendo Club 09

The Annual Vancouver Kendo Tournament was established in 1964 and is one of the largest kendo competitions in the area with over three hundred competitors of all ages and ranks. The Tournament hosts individual matches in the youth, women and seniors categories as well as team competitions in the junior and seniors divisions.

The Vancouver Kendo Club organizes an annual kendo tournament that is attended by competitors from Canada and the United States. The goal of the tournament is to provide kendoka with the opportunity to test their skills with competitors from other dojos and promote fellowship among the kendo community.

This year we will be hosting our 46th Annual Vancouver Kendo Tournament at the Byrne Creek Secondary School on Saturday, April 23, 2011.

The opening ceremony for the tournament will start at 10:00am. The gym will be open to all participants and guests from 9:00am. The tournament is expected to end around 6:00pm along with the presentation of trophies and closing ceremonies.
